This weekend was ridiculously swingy.

I posted about Saturday in my previous blog but that didn't include my multi so this will cover Friday, Sat multi and Sunday.

Friday I get to the Dollar King and start a $2/$5 list and they tell me to get chips when it gets up to 8. I grab a nickel and sit down at the table. They tell me I have too much money and can only sit with 2, I asked what happened to $2/$5 they said well we didn't want o break a $1/$2 table to start a bigger game so we are going to start this as $1/$2 and change to $2/$5 in a bit. This room is run so bad. I will cover more of this in a bit.

Anyway a bunch of short stackers sit so I double everyone up to have chips on the table. This table breaks eventually and I move to a deeper game. I am sitting with $260 and I am in for $400.

Mainiac comes to the table and straddles to $35 in a $200 max game, erryone folds. I straddle UTG to $4. He's like $4 come on, now I have to raise you out of general principle. He opens to $25 I...

Ok the game is $2/$5 round by round plo and NLHE in a hotel.

The game is a little too big for my roll because they get it in there but I just had "you can't win it either" stuck in my head all day (Hi Berk).

I sit with $500. Brick like everything all night and am in the game for $1100. Noah and I always swap quarters but he went on a heater starting with quad jacks getting paid off on the river on a As Js Qx xs Jd board by K10, oh did I mention it was in a round of Omaha? He asks if he can buy our of the quarters because he has over $2.5k in front of him and is barely up. So I let him buy out for $350, worst case scenario I lose a buy in and a half.

Omaha hand. Limps around to the big who makes it $30 and it goes call call to me with everyone behind having chips in their hand to call. I call we see a flop 7 ways. I have 7859. Flop 782, with $210 in the pot I pot it leaving $203 behind. Aces folds, top pair and a gutter folds and I take it down.

Yup. I did it. I finally stepped back in to live cash. This weekend I decided to play at a charity poker room in Michigan, since I had been out of action for so long I thought I would play 1/2 to see if I enjoy it and of I am any good any more.

Turns out unlike online players aren't getting better. See I have had the chance to talk cash with brilliant minds and started thinking about lines at the table, big mistake.

i really don't have much to report on the poker front. taking a break from multis for a while and only have about 4k cash hands in. i have had a pretty wicked ear ache so volume of any sort hasn't been a top priority. well all but tv volume. i just re watched all 60 eps of the wire and am looking for a new show but for now i will cover some more shows i have seen every ep of.

somehow this show only ran 3 years. this was one of my favorite shows and i couldn't wait for a new ep to come out, but it doesn't have much replay value. i own all of them on dvd but i rarely watch them.

i am sure you have already seen tons of them so they don't need much review. after all of the citys and ncis i really kind of got tired of them (thats after watching like 12 + seasons of all shows)

i don't get in to fantasy sports and loved this show any way. it had a kevin smithish dick and fart joke humor that makes it excellent.

since we are on the topic of dick and fart jokes east bound and down falls in to that category. it follows the life of a washed up baseball player and it has some very funny moments. while i liked the show it's not one i am dying to see the 2nd season of.
